Languid like molasses,

Foot crosses foot,

Landing on the floor

Like whispers.

 

Stiff as starched collars,

Hands turn and turn

To face the wind

Like flowers.

 

Precious as diamonds,

Smiles are tucked,

Awaiting discovery

Like secrets.
