All these roads
Have kept me company
These past weeks:
Silent against my haste,
Indifferent to my motions.
I don’t mind;
Amid the rush of coping
With the demands of life
My recalcitrant heart
Welcomes all distractions:
Bustling bus rides,
Bumpy motorcycle jaunts,
Drives along dark highways,
Even the solitude of cars
Hurtling towards loneliness.
